The Road to Certification (Membership in SCADD is Required)
RCADD, Registered Computer Aided Drafting Designer
SCADD requires those interested in becoming a RCADD, to apply by submitting prior work experience and pass the SCADD division exam. This exam is a timed 60 questions section 1 (core questions), and 60 questions section 2 (division questions), the exam is offered online.
Consumer (Industrial Design)
4. Pass one of the software certification exams like the Autodesk, Solid Works, Mastercam, NX
CAD or equivalent.
5. Submission of CADD portfolio with a minimum of 10 slides in pdf format.
6. SCADD approval of application and items 4 and 5.
7. Pass the SCADD Registration exam with a grade of 75% or better.
